CHOCOLATE CHEESE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE

If you’re me, who’s too lazy at calculating portions every time I got big orders, you could end up with a lot of leftover batters, sauce, etc. Last week, after a crazy day of baking lots chocolate cupcakes, I ended up with a wholeย  bowl of double chocolate chip batter. What to do, what to do? Well, I happened to have lots of grated cheese leftover from baking lasagna. Chocolate and cheese, perfect!!! Cut things short, here’s the recipe…

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 recipe of double chocolate chip batter from this post.
  • 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese.
  • 1/2 cup of sweet condensed milk.

That’s about it. Oh wait… yes, the directions.. ๐Ÿ™‚

CLASSIC AMERICAN APPLE PIE

Ingredients:

(makes enough dough for one 9 or 10 inch double crust pie)

  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup ice cold butter, cut into tiny pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 7 tablespoon ice water
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

for the apple filling :

  • 6 apples, peeled & thinly slice
  • 80 gr white sugar
  • 50 gr brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinammon
  • 1 cup crushed biscuit
  • Extras : raisins & pecans, almonds, etc.

GARLIC FRIED RICE

I love fried rice. The simplest it gets, all the more reason for me to love it. Garlic Fried Rice is a perfect example of it. you just need garlic, lots of it. Hmmm… What a perfect breakfast to start the day.

Ingredients :

  • A portion of cooked rice (preferably an over night rice)
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt & a dash of pepper
